Ironing offends me

Why would you do this to me iron? I've taken great care of you, only put distilled water in you, don't iron weird crap that shouldn't be ironed, wrap your cord nicely. Why oh why would you do this to me.

Burns also offend me. I'm telling you this hurts way worse than it looks. Anything that hurts this much should look nasty.

ETA: this is my arm, the inside. (Inside? you know the palm of my hand side) and yes, my skin is see through, that's my blood you see in the middle there. Super sexy.

I did so much ironing in the 60s for my family that I told hubby he was on his own for his dress shirts. My grandma made me iron her towels and gramps undie shorts. If I buy something and it has to be ironed, I give it away. NO wonder I live in tshirts and jeans. I have too many scars from burns.

That's nasty and that part of your skin is so tender. After a few burns from cooking, I figured out it was safest to stay out of the kitchen and stick with yogurt and easy things to make. Take my advice...stay away from the iron and the kitchen. ;)

Frankly, I think you should just play with your kids and on that wonderful jumpy thing from your June 14th post. THAT'S my kinda' fun!

My iron bites me too! Actually, I think my iron and my stove are related since the racks in my stove do the same thing. Ugh!

When I was young, I begged my Mom to iron and she got me started on Dad's hankies and the family pillow cases. Boy, those things were ironed really good! Dad complained about the starch in his hankies, tho. :)

OOOOOuuuuuuuuuch! You poor Darlin'! This is why ironing should be against the law. Your iron is spoiled rotten. Here's what I do to mine: Iron in, versamark, crayon, wax paper... Maybe you need to mistreat it, so it'll appreciate you more! heehee. Get well SOON! :0)

OUCH! I don't envy the burn at all, but I admit I'm one of the strange birds who enjoys ironing. As a child we had to learn how to iron properly, the order as well as temperatures. Yep, my Grandma actually taught me lesson style. And back in the 50's and early 60's our summer shorts and tops were all cotton so we'd take them off the line and my four sisters and I would take our own clothes off the closeline and down to the basement where the ironing board was.

Too much info, I know. But I like to iron to this day. So sorry, though, about your burn. OUCH again!
