Some cuteness for ya!

So lately I've been chatting in the CE (Current Events) forum over at SplitCoastStampers. That forum is for politics, religion, generally all the stuff you don't normally talk about. But everyone is friendly (usually) and I'm sure if we were not talking about those topics we'd be friends. One girl started a special thread that's called CE Chat and we just talk for fun there and that helps the friendly feeling. Anyhow I thought it would be cute and fun to make these cards for some of the girls. They say, "Put on your big girl panties and just deal with it" which of course I think everyone wants to say sometimes there. (And some people DO say). I'm not sending them to people I have problems with, just for fun ya know? (Besides I don't have problems with anyone! I'm friendly like that.)

They are a new size for me. It's a 4.25x5.5 folded in half. So like 4.25x2.25. Course the oval sticks up over that. It's a fun little size of card. I colored with prismacolor and copic markers. I did the penwork on the scallops myself. :)

I've had this idea in my head ever sense I saw the crab stamp. At that time of course I didn't have the pirate, now I have both so it was time to make the card already! I call it "Fight for friends and pirate gold". That crab is so cute I hated to cast him as a villian but I had to ya see...

I colored with prismacolor and copic markers. I added the dots under the pirate because there were dots under the crab on the stamp so I wanted them to "go" together. You can barely see it, but on the red layer I stamped a spider web stamp, two times in different directions, to give a fish net look. I've seen cute stuff done with the cheesecloth background stamp SU sells, but it's $17 and I'm not buying it, you can't make me! heehee
