Gram's quilt is done.

I finished Brian's Gram's quilt yesterday. I really am happy with how it came out. I wanted to bind with blue, but I didn't have enough left, so I used the white. I like it though. Here is a closeup of one of the blocks.
Close up of my binding. It's not ruffled, it's just crinkled from washing/drying it. Another view.

I totally cheated on the binding, which I'm sure you quilters already noticed. I machine sewed the back on too instead of hand sewing. I just didn't want to spend more time. I know it's lame, but some times you have to just cheat a little. Well at least I do!
It feels so good to have this one. I look forward to my next project, which is a secret project.

It is wonderful and she will be thrilled! She will not recognize the bag of scraps she gave you that she'd cut out so long ago! You will have to take a photo if you are with her when she opens this gift. Nice work Erin!

Erin this is really beautiful! Well done! :) I'm not sure if I will ever have the patience to do one again :)
Have a wonderful day!

That quilt turned out fantastic!! I don't think that Machine sewing the binding on is cheating.
I just think that sometimes "quilt purists" make up rules that make it harder for everyone else!
ps-I have an opportunity coming up where I will be needing some pattern testers. Would you be interested?

I wouldn't know what quilt cheating would even look like or what quilters "rules" are but I do know that I love it! It's gorgeous and you should be very proud of yourself!!
